Apple activities
This year when you go apple picking with the family, have a plan to use up all of the apples that you bring back! Here are four, fun ways in which to use your apples, not all of which are recipes:
Candy Apples: Homemade candy apples are an exciting and easy way to enjoy your daily intake of fruit. A little caramel is all you need, oh yeah, and the toppings of your choice. Check out this kid’s recipe for S’mores candy apples!
Apple and candle centerpiece: After an adult digs out the core, kids can pick out and assemble this neat centerpiece craft. This would be the perfect decoration for a fall, family dinner!
Apple Smiles: Make some happy apples! This recipe is great, because although most cooks use peanut butter, it can be adapted to use other ingredients like marshmallow cream or even cream cheese.
Apple Stamps: Apple stamping is a fun, family activity. Create an apple stamp mural, or consider using your stamps to decorate a postcard, and write a letter to a friend or relative.
These are just a few creative ways to use all of those apples after a fun day of apple picking. There are undoubtedly many more activities out there, which ones have you tried?
