1st wagon train reached California today.

The first wagon train reached California today in 1841.  It left Missouri on May 1, 1841 completing the 5 month journey.  Take a minute and retrace the journey on a map with your kids.  Ask them how fast they think it takes to travel that distance with planes, trains and automobiles.
