The Crafty Parent Saved the Day!

Our Whiskey Lullaby
When I decided to homeschool Mary, one of my main concerns was that I wouldn’t be able to think of a lot of fun things to do with her. Let’s face it, I’m not the greatest with crafts at all. Unless it comes with instructions, I have no idea what to do with a bunch of Popsicle sticks, paper plates, and pompoms. So I started looking around online to see if I could find monthly craft kit subscriptions I could order to make my life a little easier. But I was completely disappointed to see that most kits are cheaply made and are paper crafts. I wanted to make something more sturdy and memorable than just a paper cutout of a doll. And that’s just what I got with Crafty Parent!
Inside their monthly subscription, you get a newsletter that has all the activities listed for the month which includes your crafts, recipes, games, and sometimes even silly songs. Along with your handy dandy newsletter, you’ll also get your crafts kits along with the instructions and all the supplies to make the projects too. When I first got our kit, I was very pleased to see that the crafts are very cute and could actually be given as gifts!
The first craft we were able to make was the “Me Board” which is a hanging chalkboard. Mary was able to do a few things by herself but we had a lot of fun putting it together!
Just from the way this adorable craft came out, I was extremely happy with this kit. The craft is an actual craft – not just a paper cutout and Mary had a blast doing it. We were also able to try out a few recipes and games too so this is going great in our homeschool.
