Another fun activity my boys and I love to do in the summer is play with sidewalk chalk. We usually wait until after dinner when our driveway is much shadier and cooler. Using sidewalk chalk is a great way for children learning how to write practice their letters and numbers. I always get a volunteer to lie down on the sidewalk and outline their bodies. It is fun to see the different sizes of the kids. One time one of the boys drew an impromptu alien head and we thought it was hysterical! The great thing about this fun activity is once it rains you have a new canvas!
